amigurumi octopus

amigurumi is the word for handmade japanese-style animals.

during the last year or so, knitters and crocheters have been trying to make amigurumi-inspiredplants, cups or even clouds. i find this hilarious and also they make great gifts.

this one was made for carolynn = a quick crochet amigurumi octopus for an american visitor:) it is crocheted and its hat is knited (cast on 12 and decrease:)

its brother is available here, and i plan for a lot more - sometimes i wis i had at least 8 arms like him.
