supertiny snail a.k.a. pencil snail

a small snail.

to be put on somebodys pencil once they leave the desk. or something.

made of cotton (3 colours), supersturdy. made as a one piece to avoid assembling and minimize the possibility of any damage made by throwing the thing at others.

better pictures on flickr soon.

seal

made a while ago, now has eyes and everything.
soft yellow merino baby wool, cotton fabric filling. cotton embroidery.

a little bit of kitsch never hurt anyone!

better pics on flickr soon.

BORAT

The decision to crochet Borat came up out of nowhere.

It was fun to even think about it, and discuss it with people ("I WANT BORAT! That moustache! Hahaha!") etc.

Making of Borat was slightly tough; the darned pink wool again. Purchased specifically because of the resemblance of its color to normal skin color, great to touch BUT making little things outta it - ugh.

It was big fun though. Especially playing with details (body hair) and coming up with a way to make that green swimsuit.

It is hughly stylised as it is a small doll but it does have the impornatnt features (long thin limbs, moustache, lotsa body hair, curly short haircut AND the swimsuit). Not sire it is perfect, maybe there ought to ne another version. Let's see.

supersoft snail coming atcha

This is the supersoft snail.

The softest snail on the planet. Ever.

It was tough to crochet the pink body (wool looking great, behaving badly) but all ended up quite nice.

The shell is a blend of cotton and acrylic. Not much into acrylic though. Natural fibers always look good. Acrylic just... sometimes.

christmas in july. at least one pic

the camera decided it is gonna be working for a few more minutes.

so here are some superquick pics (better ones coming in the future - it is july after all)

christmas in july

there is a "christmas in july" project - a set of christmas ornaments. it is a new take on the ancient lace techniques, but the things are made of a really thick yarn (cotton acrylic) and will stay soft - no intention to starch them.

it is a 10 piece set consisting of an angel, eight snowflake/lace/star objects and one string to keep them together. all the objects have a loop to hang, and the whole set is really light and could last fot years and years - can even be washed. and played with of course.

pic coming soon.

The supersoft snail is finished

The camera battery is finished too, though. So it will pose for pictures in a few days or so.

Another finished project is a turtle - sewing it together was really tricky but ended up okay. it looks quite happy.

Awaiting eyes from the USA for some amigurumi-type creatures.

Coming up... supersoft snail

Right now there is a snail being created. The skein behing the pumpkin on the left is being used for its shell, and a lovely soft (but difficult to work with!) pink wool is becoming its body.

It is going to be a supersoft and superlight thing, a combination of knit nd crochet.

The shell is unstuffed, made of a rolled knitted piece, and the body is crochet.

Pumpkin

Halloween in July, anyone?

Here comes a little pumpkin. Not scary, no no no.

All cotton as most of the recent prague loop creations, including the filling which is a cotton fabric.

It is really soft for a cuddly feel - not the amigurumi style, harder way.

The loops on the top can be used to hang it somewhere.

Not necessarily a Halloween item. Pumpkins are nice any time of the year.

It is small but looks like it is on to something.

ninja bird coming

Here comes the ninja bird.

It can be a bit tricky but not evil. Just having fun.

Is is all cotton including the embroidery and the filling and is 2.5 inches / 6.5 centimetres.

new, better flickr address

the username feature is nice. the new, better flickr address for the prague loop is http://www.flickr.com/photos/pragueloop/ - of course the old one is still working but this is much better, as in easier to remember.

vintage looking cotton octopus keychain

Here is a new vintage looking octopus keychain.

It is all made of cotton - the yarn is the same type but several colours.

The little flower is also the same yaarn.

The stuffing is cotton fabric.

The colours are meant to look quite vintage/retro.
