the color combos inspiration tool

love color combinations. sometimes interesting combinations come up just when two skeins lie next to each other.

this started as a project to use the last yard of a fave material but turned out to be something else: as the colors were meeting at random, it turned out that this could be a great tool to find new combinations, and also try combinations of colours without needing to have the actual skeins, ie before purchasing new ones.

not sure what the final size will be. this may be nearly it but who knows

and yes, the ends.

Lush solid shampoo hack

Being a fan od the natural cosmetic of Lush I have a stash of their products.

i especially love their solid shampoos - ecologic and - and they smell nice. They are just like soap for hair.

Broke the dish i had them on. Alas.
Decided to go very retro and make my new one a net. remembered that grannies' soaps used to have some sort of net, but fugly nylon.

mine is all natural, cotton, and pretty green.

Turned out quite nice -i find it poetic.

The shampoo can be removed but of course you can wash your hair WITH the "bag" on.

contact pragueloop@gmail.com if you want one.

update: the hack got featured at the shoveling ferret blog at http://shovelingferret.blogspot.com/2009/07/lush-solid-shampoo-hack.html just hours after being published. nice!
