discovered a photo of a scarf with hood. ha. i absolutely NEED one (or two). now i know what to do with the lovely grey alpaca. not sure if it will be knitted or crocheted yet, will have to swatch to see

finished lacy shawl for auntie. just two evenings to make and is very warm, now blocking.

making a chocolate brown shawl for my oldish aunt in switzerland. using merino wool by jaeger. 

i like the softness of the yarn and do not think it will be itchy. the look of it is not stunning as it is spun more than strikes my fancy (the seen reminds me of acrylic) but it promises to be good quality.

decided to train myself in the art of knitting socks. it will take a lot of sox to make real pretty ones but there is progress.
