crocheted macbook case

decided my new shiny macbook deserves a crocheted cover. using the crocheted "fabric" meant for a (normal) bag for it. had a sort of cushion insert made as i am not much of a seamstress.

simple black hat / cap

understated wooly thing

finished.

must make another one. or more.

shop update

updated the etsy shop (+dawanda shop) with some wooly items for the autumn/winter. muted colours yet a bit of quirk here and there.

barely there hat

i wanted a black hat that would not be the centre of attention - it shall be pretty but look understated.
bought the only pure wool that was available in black in a shop we passed with a friend on our way to have a coffee. i am not amazed with it but it is not bas - just normal wool, more on the lighter, softer and quite elastic side.
first swatches did not turn out good enough, trying some holding double yarn. not sure

überquick hat

decided to make an überquick hat on a whim.

the crochet adds up quickly, it was made in 2 hours. took about 100 grams of the yarn.
the trim is knitted to make it elastic.

scarf4mom

finished an übersimple drop stitch scarf for my mother - it is made of a very light blue merino wool (soft, fluffy but it knots a lot, not recommended for colorwork:)

the pics dont do it justice (one does not eve look blue:)), bad light, will try to get better ones.

it was a nice, mindless/hypnotic knit, and it added up quickly. a nice beginners or holiday project. it took just hours to make really.

cowl finished

blue cowl is finished. made on a special request so it is longer than usual.

damaris

Inspired by the new Patrick Wolf video Damaris, *I am knitting a scarf in various shades of grey to almost black.

It is not as beautiful or romantic as the song or the story behind it but I'd like to think it has some kind of charm nevertheless.

*about in the middle, a character is resting her head on a pillow with grey and white patterns.

+ - sox finished

finished grey socks with + and - signs in seed stitch + random purling. it was fun to make them and a good way to learn some sock technique.
