just finished: knitted bag with crocheted handles and some pleating.
i was testing a thick, rustic wool - it was a bit of a fight to tame the material but the result is robust enough for a bg, yet kinda wooly which i like.
Am very very happy. My work was selected for an exhibition that is going to take place in Slovakia.
The theme was "Genius loci – Spirit of a place – Geist eines Platzes – Duch miesta", so i knitted a mini cemetery and sent its photo to the organizers. The exhibition is intended for professional artists so i was thinking i might not be accepted but i was. So very happy.
(Photos as soon as the exhibition happens).
The organizers are "Slovenské združenie textilných výtvarníkov TXT" ("Slovakian Assocation Of Textile Artists") and this is the 12th year of the exhibition of textile miniatures (here, a miniature is anything up to 20 x 20 x 20 cm, so a mini knitted cemetery with a few gravestones and a tree was just fine.)
The website of the organizers is at http://www.txt.sk/ (also has an english section) and i will be posting any relevant info as it happens.
